Well Well Well! Last night I didn't go to the gym just like I never do on Tuesdays! I watch the Biggest Loser on Tuesdays. Everyone needs a little rest every now and then. I usually try to go to the gym 4 to 5 times a week. Today when I go to the gym I am going to start doing cardio as well as lifting weights. I haven't been lifting weights because I want to get my body back in to at least a little shape.
I am signing up for a 5K...the date of the 5K is November 21st! I am doing with my good friend Mike. He is actually got me inspired to lose weight he has lost 100 Lbs or more now. And he also got me to run period. So thanks Mike I appreciate it! I will kick your ass in a race one of these days! That is a ton of motivation for me..when I have a goal to work for. My first 5K I finished in 37 min and 33 Sec. And my most recent was In July and that was 34 Min. So I will be satisfied to beat my time.
Like I said before I didn't go to the gym last night... but while I was watching the Biggest Loser I was sitting there and thinking I should really go to the gym. My brother in Law has his Wii downstairs where we live. So I put it on this thing called free run... you can run in place while you watch TV. The controller talks to you and tells you how much time you have left. I know it sounds dumb to run in place, I felt really dumb doing it but when I got done I was sweating like crazy.. I did 30 min! I was excited to get some cardio in even without going to the gym!

Saturday Oct. 24, 2009
This morning I woke up at 5:50 and I couldn't sleep at all...I had the day off and everything. I was actually pretty disappointed with that. I went into the living room to watch some TV and see if I could maybe fall asleep out there. As I was sitting there I was just thinking about how hard weekends are for me, and how many temptations there are on weekends. Eating out, Beer, and alot of other stuff. So as I was sitting there at 6 a.m. I realized I wasn't going to go back to sleep and I felt like I was wasting my time. So I decided to go to the gym. I know it sounds crazy but it was awesome. I only did the elliptical for 30 mins but I went up a level and after I was done my shirt was so wet from sweat I felt really proud of myself.
When I do any sort of cardio its really hard because after about 5 min I always think to myself that I am done and I can't do this for the entire 30 min. I start to play mind games with myself. I try not to look at the timer as much as possible, I also focus in on every 5 min. so for example if I am at 10 min, I always think to my self well in 5 more min I will be half way there and then when I get to 20 min I always think to myself that I have only a single digit of time left. It really does help me out quite a bit.
Since I am doing the blog from our laptop I posted some random pics because they are already on our computer. Some of them are of my and my journey others are just my family who is my ultimate support system. We are going to the Ute game today so I will be very good and eat before so I don't have to get any food there. GO UTES!!!!!

Last night I went to the gym! When I go to the gym I go after I put our daughter to bed. That way I am going on my own time and not anyone Else's time. I am always there for my daughter when she goes to bed, And I don't leave my wife with all the stress and responsibility of watching a 3 yr old and maintaining our household. We usually put her to bed between 7:30 and 8:00. So by then as you know I am pretty tired. I have to be to work at 6:30 in the morning. So I wake up at about 5:15. So yes by then I am pretty tired so it takes alot of motivation to go to the gym. Every single time I go to the gym, I don't want to go at all! Every time I'm done I'm glad I went!
Now in my last post I said when I went to the gym I was going to do the elliptical and also work on my arms and my back. Scratch that! I did go do the elliptical for 30 min, after I was done with that my back hurt so bad! like I worked out my back like cray! The last 10 mins were so horrible! So after that I had to sit for a min. I was dripping sweat like crazy! after that I didn't really want to lift. So I did the stairs for 5 min. If you have ever done the stair machine at the gym.. it's so freaking hard it so ridiculous! 5 min. doesn't seem like a long time but it was.
I did realize at the gym that I definitely have to work my way back up to where I was, and it definitely won't be easy. That is a little hard for me, because I threw all my hard work that I put in when i was running. But you can't dwell on the past! Right? So all I do is move forward and don't look back!
I didn't know if I wanted to log my food on here. I think it would be kind of boring. So I decided to do it once in a while. I think that if people to start to follow this, it would be helpful to see what I am eating and also the progress that I am making. I also think it would help people get some ideas as well do here is my food log from wed Oct. 21, 2009
Breakfast:
Yogurt (light)
String Cheese (light)
Fiber One Bar
Banana
2 Hard Boiled Eggs
Lunch:
Lean Cuisine BBQ Chicken Pizza
1 Cup of Grapes
Dinner:
Subway Foot long Club
(very little mayo)
Snacks throughout the day:
Yogurt (light)
Apples
That might sound like alot, with the foot long sub. I do count Weight Watcher Points. And with all my food and my exercise I actually had 2 points to spare. So not to bad.
When I first joined Weight Watchers I started to count my points, and i realized that I had a ton of points and I wouldn't even come close to using all of them! I stopped counting points because of that. Now I started counting points again. I realized I come alot closer to my points than I use to. I think I was counting wrong and not focusing on portion sizes. Now I am a Counting Fool! I have the Weight Watcher Queens Helping me out (Heidi, Ana)...Whenever I need a point value.... There they are!!!
I'm not Usually a big quote guy.... but I have been trying new things to motivate me... here are some quotes I find useful...
"You get whatever you settle for."
"One definition of insanity is: Doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result. "
"If you didn't need a pill to get fat, why would you need one to get unfat? "
"If you want what you do not have, you must do what you have not done"
"Your body keeps an accurate journal regardless of what you write down..."
I am going to the gym tonight! I will post tomorrow!

First day!!!
Now today is the first day that I am writing about my weight loss. Well.... technically yesterday was the first. But I didn't go to they gym yesterday. I really feel that Tuesdays will be one of my regular days off. The biggest Loser is on and I can't miss that show. That show inspires me like no other! Even though I didn't go to the gym I ate really really well. I counted my points, and I even have a ipnone app that I can use to log my food. So I really feel like I am on track. Now tonight I am hittin the gym, i am going to do some cardio, I will probably to the elipticle for about 30 min, then work on my arms, and back, and then I hope to run for about another ten mins. I really want to get into running shape again. The happiest I have ever been was When I was running. Running a 5K is the coolest thing I have ever done, the sense of accomplishment is so amazing... It even mad my wife cry. ha ha Well I wil be writing down my progress everyday hopefully, and once again I am sorry if it's boring... I am doing this for myself if it inspires other people thats awsome! I will le you know about my work out tomorrow!

Here We Go.....
I finally broke down and got a Blog. One of my friends at work ( Evan ) Sent me a like about a man who weighed 600 Lbs, and he blogs everything he does, everything he eats, exercise, and how he is feeling. I think its really cool how people follow him and how he inspires other people.
So I am basically doing this for myself, so if you don't find it entertaining I am sorry! So I started Weigh Watchers about 1 1/2 years ago i believe. I started out weight about 272 Lbs. The lowest I got down to was 210..I have been slacking lately and now I am about 224 Lbs. That's why I am creating a blog where everyone can see what I do and to hold myself accountable. So i will be blogging about my feelings and my exercise and anything else I can think of. I have ran 2 5K's and that's where I want to get back to. I want to thank my wife for the support she gives me and she has lost 50 Lbs. herself.... She is pregnant so that is put on hold for now. And once again I want to thank Evan for giving me the idea to do this. I posted some old before pics of myself for now. I will let you know how the gym goes tonight. Remember weigh-in days are on Tuesday.
